Only after a twitter discussion, I realized that I hardly go for any other conventions.

2005 was the starting of my event-going. Mini-cosmas 2005 was the first. It's not technically a convention, it's more of a gathering lol. Cosplaying wasn't a big thing back then and the ratio of cosplayers to normal-dressed people were about 40:60 if not 50:50.

Comic Fiesta 2005 was my first CF and I was hooked ever since XD It was still in Sri Sedaya at the time. It was a big difference from the year before when CF was at Balai Seni Lukis.

Back then there were no complaints of the venue being out of reach, ticket pre-order forms being difficult to fill up, long queue lines, no transport, no food etc. We just managed to find our ways and manage with what we have.

And in between all that, there has been Anicom at Sungai Wang. That was about it. Anicom is a really tiny event. Main highlights are the karaoke competition and the cosplay competition. Anicom somehow becomes an event where people start off singing then they progress onto other cons and eventually CF (it's a fact that you can't deny! XD)

The one thing that Anicom draws people in is because of the cash prizes. If not? I doubt the response will be that good. The only reason I go is because it's the closest event to me haha! *high5s KL people*

And oh- AFA! I took the opportunity to attend AFA '09 since I was in Johor for a wedding on and was visiting relatives in Singapore after that. It was merely a coincidence that I could attend AFA. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten the chance or made the effort to travel that far.

I really hardly go to any cons haha.

This year was the first year I attended GACC. It is said to be the last but the only memorable impact it left on me was traveling with friends, debuting a cosplay and eating good food. No offense GACC.

Then it was Mage Fest in Nilai. Really small con and for a con that was out of reach, there were still about 30-40 people or so who attended. And sorry to say, I had to keep myself entertained throughout the whole event cause the people on stage were only entertaining themselves.

Next was GAMP in IMU. It was the first time it was being held so hats off to a good job, well done. Again, it was the people who made it really worthwhile. Making new friends and keeping old ones. That's what conventions and cosplay does haha!

The latest was Animangaki. I wouldn't say it's the best RM10 spent. There were no goodie bags and they seemed to have plenty of sponsors ._. But it was outta curiosity and everything has to have a first, yes? The karaoke competition was quite interesting. Singing quality is definitely better.

The final convention to look forward to this year?

Comic Fiesta 2010.

There's only 36 days leftttt!!!!! TT_________________TT
